Born in Romania, Carmen Radulescu spent her childhood in Europe and northern Africa. Her love of classic European architecture has fueled her designs for the ever-evolving Ferrara Collection. "My father had an incredible ambition for me to see the world and my mother was an architect and was very talented and was able to show me how to appreciate beautiful structural details."

The Ferrara collection was first inspired by rose windows found on Europe's most breathtaking cathedrals. Carmen executed the medallion and medal to create jewelry for the collection, followed by small accessories, and even footwear. "Classic architecture I would say is the foundation of every design that I do. Design is about scale and proportion and architecture gives you that."
