During a trip to Australia, designer Catherine Hong fell for the wild beauty of native flowers while taking a painting workshop with local floral artist Flora Waycott.

A stroll through the Royal Botanic Gardens sparked the vision for this floral bag—featuring Swan River daisies, poppies, blue lilies, and golden wattle, Australia’s national bloom.

Every detail is carefully considered.
For the front flap, Catherine turns her art into an intricate embroidery map of eight vibrant colors to bring her artwork to life, stitch by stitch.

An artisan delicately hand-cuts the lasered floral design from Italian pebbled leather, crafting the first lace-like layer of this gorgeous, three-dimensional beauty.

The die-cut panel is then embroidered with precision — 44,000 stitches create this floral masterpiece, turning it into wearable art.
